She posed for George Hoyningen-Huene just before filming Lady Hamilton, and the pictures were published in Harper’s Bazaar in September 1940. Georgia Graves was famed for her Bubble Dance at the Folies Bergère in Paris 🫧 Her likeness was sculpted by Armand Godard and she was photographed in costume for La Grande Folie by George Hoyningen-Huene in 1928. Hollywood icon Katharine Hepburn was first photographed by George Hoyningen-Huene in 1934 and the pair became life long friends. Born on this day in 1900, Huene became the chief photographer at Vogue Paris in the late 1920s and contributed thousands of images to the magazine over the next decade. In this portrait he leans nonchalantly against the large format camera and holds his newest Vogue cover, 1 February 1934. George Hoyningen-Huene’s Ciro-Flex twin lens reflex film camera in its brown leather pouch. The camera was made in Delaware, Ohio, and is fitted with the original Wollensak Anastigmat lens and Rapax shutter. He was an early adopter of twin lens reflex cameras.
