Another fascinating exhibition in Venice… There is still one month left to see Lee Miller - Man Ray | Fashion | Love | War Showing at Palazzo Franchetti until 10 April, and featuring some of Hoyningen-Huene’s Vogue studies enlarged to a monumental scale. The exhibition begins with the story of Miller’s early modelling career in New York and collaborations in Paris with Hoyningen-Huene. 🎄It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…🎄 George Hoyningen-Huene photographed models in sparkling festive dance dresses like Christmas fairies on a tree for the December 1941 issue of Harper’s Bazaar. At this time, the magazine featured many innovative spreads and artistic layouts, the work of the talented Alexey Brodovitch, art director from 1934 to 1958.
