🤍Lisa Fonssagrives-Penn🤍 Born on this day in 1911. Hoyningen-Huene photographed the Swedish model for Vogue in 1938 wearing a pale, flowing evening dress by Vionnet. Lisa studied art and dance in Berlin before moving to Paris and taking up modelling. It would be another decade before she met Irving Penn, star photographer at American Vogue, whom she married in 1950. Constance Bennett, Dress by Mainbocher March 15, 1933 The American star Constance Bennett (1904-1965) was the highest-paid actress in Hollywood in the early 1930s. The back of this vintage print in the archive tells us that Huene shot the portrait at the Hotel George V in Paris, but it wasn’t published until a year later, in the March 1934 issue of Vanity Fair.
