Silver screen goddess Ingrid Bergman (29 August 1915 - 29 August 1982) Hoyningen-Huene photographed Bergman for the first time in 1940 and one of the portraits was published in Harper’s Bazaar on 15 March 1940. It was the start of a decade of blockbuster films for the actress, including Casablanca, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Gaslight, Spellbound, Joan of Arc, and Under Capricorn. A still from a movie - it had no title and no plot, and was never completed - that Huene was shooting.
